“Especially without Honda’s backing and sponsorship at Red Bull in 2026 and beyond, it seems increasingly likely that the struggling Japanese driver will be retained by the energy drink brand next year.”

Surely you mean unlikely.

However, Tsunoda is a solid driver - not special, just solid. Without Verstappen, they are the worst car on the grid.

Okay, sticking my neck out here, but I don't think Yuki is all that great a driver. He's got his fans, of course, but I'm not among them. I do blame the car to a large extent, but somehow the guy doesn't resonate. Still, as long as he has Watanabe's support - he will find a seat. Money always talks. Meanwhile, guys with more talent (IMO) like George Russell are out on a limb despite their success. I don't know how they tolerate it.
