I was only vaguely aware of Lella and didn't know the extent of her career. I think a lot of younger people don't realize the extent of discrimination women faced in the 70s. Here in the USA, women couldn't get credit cards or mortgages, rent an apartment or buy a vehicle without a male co-signor until '74. And now, of course, we have the crowd in piower who would very much like to return us to that status. I have high hopes for the F1 Academy, but as we know, there are a lot of men who simply refuse to consider the idea of a female driver.
