Oscar Piastri has been told by McLaren F1 to back his teammate Lando Norris' Drivers Championship bid ahead of this weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix, in what's a sensible decision by the McLaren team.
I think Piastri was somewhat forced to accept the situation. However, he seems to be a common sense kind of guy, so he's going to play the game - this season. He really has no choice; he either he gets pegged as the 'bad guy' with all that could mean for his future, or suck it up and be the good corporate boyo in the expectation of future rewards - assuming one believes in that outcome. Big money is involved, after all, and I doubt the McLaren bosses give a sh&t how a driver feels about anything, let alone fairness.
